Rancho Del Cielo Tour

There is no better place to understand Reagan’s principles, and his practical, down-to-earth manner, than at Rancho del Cielo, the “Ranch in the Sky.” You won’t want to miss this opportunity. Scheduled for May 1st from 9-3, seating is limited to 30 visitors. Contact Chief Art for reservations.

Blood Drive

The Vikings of Solvang Blood Drive is scheduled for March 13th from 3:00 to 7:00 at the Solvang School Gym. All blood drawn will be coordinated by United Blood Services. Please make an appointment by calling 800-715-3699 or online at United Blood Services. Our goal is to collect 100+ pints of blood – donors will receive a $25 voucher for dinner at a local restaurant. If you’d like to volunteer, contact Mark Glover at 805-729-2390.

Membership Dinner

We have long enjoyed appetizers and cocktails before dinner, a delicious meal consisting of a salad, entree with wine, and dessert prepared by Chef Pascal and his staff, gratuity included for only $35. However, beginning in February, the cost will be going up to $40. The excellent food and service provided by the Alisal will continue to be provided to the Vikings of Solvang.

Kid’s Christmas

This event, chaired by Jim Cassidy, was the best ever. Six hundred special-needs children and their caregivers were fed sliders, French fries, cookies and a drink at the Marriott in Buellton. Then it was off to see Santa Claus! The teachers received a special gift for use in their classrooms. Everything was so well organized. Utmost thanks and a big Skal to all the Viking and non-Viking volunteers for making this event such a huge success.
