 Who Benefits from Viking efforts...
There are many in our community who are medically disadvantaged through no fault of their own. Also, there are individuals and families who are struck by tragedy, and are financially unable to cope with medically related costs and services. As Vikings, we care. We are sincerely committed to helping alleviate the added burdens they carry in their everyday lives.
Viking members not only give from their wallets, they give from their hearts. The also give something money can't buy...their personal time and energy in helping others.
Years ago, the Vikings found there was an unmet need for blood within Santa Barbara County. To help meet that need, we established the semi-annual Viking Blood Drive. Viking members graciously host a dinner for those from the community at large who give the gift of blood, which is truly the gift of life.
We also assist organizations who provide medically related services within our community. We can dramatically enlarge the scope of our giving by working in conjunction with similarly dedicated non-profit groups. |
